An in-home companionship program for older adults
Time Together is a community-based program in which Philadelphia college students provide high quality, low-cost ($10/hr) respite care to families supporting an older adult, including those with physical or cognitive impairments.
For families:
We seek to lessen feelings of isolation and stress by providing older adults with caring companionship and meaningful engagement. We want to preserve the dignity, independence, and quality of life of older adults living with physical or cognitive impairments.
Time Together also allows family caregivers to take a small break from their caregiving duties. This can help caregivers avoid burnout, take care of other important tasks, and have fun.
