The Elder Justice Coordinating Council (EJCC) is bringing together leaders in government and research Wednesday morning, and a live stream of the meeting will be available here from 9 a.m. to noon: http://acl.gov/ejcc
The video was originally available here on www.pennadc.org, but it has since moved.
“The Spring 2016 EJCC meeting will build on momentum from the 2015 White House Conference on Aging and explore ways to further incorporate elder justice into the work of agencies throughout the federal government,” organizers said. “During the meeting, national experts from government and private industry will discuss the issues of elder abuse research, the financial services industry’s response to elder abuse and financial exploitation, and developments in training about elder abuse across a variety of fields.”
Penn Memory Center Co-Director Dr. Jason Karlawish will join a panel presentation called “Financial Exploitation — Incorporating the Financial Services Industry into the Work of Elder Justice.” Karlawish will speak on “Whealthcare. Or, how we can assure older adults’ cognitive and financial well-being.” To learn more about the concept of whealthcare, read his essay in Forbes.
