An Alzheimer's Disease Research Center
Meditation on Wednesdays, also called M.E.o.W, is a 10-week meditation and mindfulness program. On Wednesday mornings, Hia and Paula, master’s of social work students at Penn, will lead the group in short mindfulness exercises that can be done in a group or individually at home. Mindfulness practices and exercises can help ease stress, calm the mind, and ground you in the present moment. The Penn Memory Center is pleased to invite our patients and friends to a virtual monthly pop-up café. This program is exclusively for people with memory problems, including Alzheimer’s disease, and their partners/families. Join us at the upcoming Memory Café for a Middle Eastern Dance and Drum Performance by student group Penn Yalla. Penn Yalla is the University of Pennsylvania's premiere Middle Eastern dance and drum troupe. The group is passionate about discovering dance styles across cultures and sharing that with audiences.
