About The Author: Arthur Kleinman, MD is Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Anthropology at Harvard Medical School and Esther and Sidney Rabb Professor of Anthropology in Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Arthur Kleinman “brings a unique perspective to the subjects of lost minds and grief. His account of his relationship with his wife, and Alzheimer’s devastating impact on them both, is a testament to the human capacity to draw sustenance from the memories of love, even as those memories are disappearing in the person loved. It is an important book.”
— Kay Redfield Jamison, author of An Unquiet Mind and Pulitzer Prize Finalist
