Quality Care Matters
The Penn Memory Center’s expert team of health professionals is dedicated to providing the highest standard of clinical care to patients. This quality care is difficult to find elsewhere in Philadelphia, and the number of PMC patients is increasing. We need your support to continue serving our growing patient community.
A message from PMC physician Dr. Sanjeev Vaishnavi
Alzheimer’s dementia is a rapidly growing epidemic, causing dramatic changes in the lives of our patients and caretakers. Diagnosis and clinical care for Alzheimer’s is extremely limited with few dedicated clinical and research centers that can support and care for patients and families as patients continue to decline.
Our patients often wait 6+ months before our first available clinical appointment, which can be a lifetime of waiting for patients and their families as we seek proper diagnoses, treatment, and guidance.
The clinical care we provide at the Penn Memory Center is only partially reimbursed by insurance companies and as a result we lose money the more patients we see.
To meet the demands of our patients and families, we need to increase our clinical team and support staff to help provide the best care for patients with dementia in the greater Philadelphia area — which will only occur with your philanthropic support.
