Rebecca Laconi joined the Penn Memory Center in 2025 and is currently working as a project manager for the ABC study and associated NIH funded research projects. Before coming to PMC, Rebecca worked as a clinical research coordinator on a clinical trial for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) at Penn’s Center for Mental Health. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kutztown University, and her master’s degree in psychology from West Chester University. Her thesis investigated whether parental drug use would lead to higher levels of addiction stigma in their children later in life. Rebecca’s research interests include the connection between drug use and the development of memory disorders later in life, particularly the connection between methamphetamine use and Alzheimer’s Disease.
