
Matt Van Dongen is a Penn Memory Center clinical fellow. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary before completing his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School during which time he participated in the Medical Students Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) program. He completed his residency in internal medicine at UNC Chapel Hill followed by a fellowship in geriatrics here at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his clinical fellowship Dr. Van Dongen is also completing a Measey Medical Education Fellowship. He hopes to improve the care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through both excellent clinical practice as well as improving the training of future healthcare providers related to cognitive disorders.
