Meditation on Wednesdays, also called M.E.o.W, is a 10-week meditation and mindfulness program. On Wednesday mornings, PMC social work trainee Kelli Sloan will lead the group in short mindfulness exercises that can be done in a group or individually at home.
Mindfulness practices and exercises can help ease stress, calm the mind, and ground you in the present moment. The program aims to build a community and a basic understanding of how mindfulness can be integrated into our daily lives.
All families and individuals affiliated with Time Out, Weekly Smile, or the Penn Memory Center are welcome. All experience levels with meditation and mindfulness are welcome, and the program leaders make the class accessible to those with cognitive impairment or dementia.
The Summer 2021 session of M.E.o.W will be held on Wednesdays from June 23 to July 28 at 10 a.m. Class typically lasts 45 minutes. Click here to register for the 2021 session of M.E.o.W.
