Meditation on Wednesdays, also called M.E.o.W, is a 10-week meditation and mindfulness program. On Wednesday mornings, Hia and Paula, master’s of social work students at Penn, will lead the group in short mindfulness exercises that can be done in a group or individually at home.
Mindfulness practices and exercises can help ease stress, calm the mind, and ground you in the present moment. The program aims to build a community and a basic understanding of how mindfulness can be integrated into our daily lives.
All families and individuals affiliated with Time Out, Weekly Smile, or the Penn Memory Center are welcome. All experience levels with meditation and mindfulness are welcome, and the program leaders make the class accessible to those with cognitive impairment or dementia.
This program occurs on Wednesdays from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Zoom starting the week of Feb. 3. Join any time during the 10 weeks, just be sure to RSVP.
