Carlos is a public health intern at the Penn Memory Center. In this role, he assists with managing and analyzing qualitative data from interviews with individuals learning about their risk for Alzheimer’s disease to identify interventions that can improve their quality of life and reduce stigma. Carlos graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Societies in 2017 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Pennsylvania. He is interested in promoting health equity through bridging research and community engagement efforts that address the social determinants of health to inform policy and community-level interventions.
